WhatsApp for Business

A well requested or maybe a well-required app/ feature for WhatsApp. That is WhatsApp for Business. Which has been launched recently globally and which can be soon available in India.

Basically, it is standalone app meant for small and medium businesses (SMEs). Which is officially announced in September last year and was tested as a beta version by BookMyShow and MakeMyTrip in India.

This means the billions of users can chat with the businesses that matter to them. The app will help users as well as the customers with useful information such as a business description, email or store addresses and website. It will save time with smart messaging tools such as quick replies, greeting messages, and away messages. Hope they won’t spam your WhatsApp with those “special offers”. Because it may right? So, once your number matches the business account number, then your account will be confirmed and transforms into business account. “People will continue to have full control over the messages they receive, with the ability to block any number, including businesses as well as report spam”, the company added.

Idema who was a Facebook executive before he joined WhatsApp last year, said that “it intends to charge business in some form in the future”.
