Today is not like every day in Las Vegas, no there is no gambling at casinos but the gambling at the CES event. It is an annual event held where every technology company which manufactures products for consumers, displays their products. They showcase their flagship products, futurist and R&D products. This is a festival for all tech-savvy people all around the globe. The four-day event is crammed full of tech news and releases, but every year CES honours certain companies and products for groundbreaking and coming up with something exciting or new.
As usually, they awarded the products which are innovative and gave honourees for those eligible ones. Let’s take a look at those products.
- Buddy, the family robot
Buddy, the family robot, its an assistant device with three wheels. That means it can move from one place to another. The product has been developed by Blue Frog Robotics and has been immensely successful on Indiegogo. Buddy can be used to set reminders, set alarms, read messages aloud, recommend recipes, help kids with their homework, play music, answer calls, and fully integrate with your digital home management systems. Overall, Buddy appears to be a successful integration of a number technologies; facial recognition, smart assistant, and robotics just to name a few, this might explain why it received the Best of Innovation Award for Robotics and Drones this year.
2. Nuviz
It is a smart wearable for your helmet on your ride. It can be attached to the front of the helmet. It can help with literally anything on the go. Shows you navigation while you want, works as a Heads-Up Display (HUD), plays your music, even does calling and all these without touching that is handsfree. The most important and innovative is that it can take pictures that too with voice. Nuviz won the Best of Innovation Award for the Wearable Technology category
3. Wi-charge
You might want to grab an iPhone 8 or even iPhone X just have a cool new feature. It’s the wireless charging capability. But imagine that you don’t have to upgrade your iPhone to this wireless charging. and also you can charge this your device without having to place your device on a wireless charging dock. Unleashing the true wireless charging capabilities for you, using infrared rays to charge your device anywhere in the room. The product contains two parts, one is a charging unit that can be attached to a ceiling which also works like a light. Another one is a photovoltaic cell which can be attached to your device. Through this, the device can be charged where ever placed in the sight range. Wi-Charge won Best of Innovation Award for the Smart Energy category.
4. Mars
You probably used the Apple earpods, and have seen the Google earpods, but this is a similar kind of device which is also a voice assistant, live translator and earpods. These smart wireless earbuds are a collaboration from Korean companies Naver and Line. Each person simply wears one of the earbuds and Mars will translate what the other person is saying instantly into your ear. the Mars earbuds can also be used to make calls, control other IoT devices, stream music, and a whole range of other voice-activated commands that can be expected of a digital assistant. It won Best of Innovation Award for the Headphones category.
